 Singles, triples and quads are much scarcer than doubles and twins. Single rooms in B&Bs often share facilities.
Travellers requiring more than 1 room may have difficulty with B&Bs & inns due to their limited number of rooms
Advance reservations ensure your party is accommodated in the same property
 Many B&Bs only have 2-3 rooms, many inns only have 10 rooms. If you want more than 1 room, better to prebook.
Cannot be upgraded or downgraded locally

Prebooked accommodation is totally prepaid in advance, with very few exceptions.
 The majority of B&Bs these days have rooms with private facilities. Some programmes involve a high season supplement for both prebooked & open-dated.
