Day 1 Giverny & Rouen
We depart Paris stopping at Giverny to see Monet's House and famous garden. Afterwards, we'll head to Richard I’s dramatic Château Gaillard nearby. We admire the monuments in Rouen before arriving in the picturesque harbour of Honfleur. (D)
Day 2 Honfleur & Deauville
It’s a splendid drive through Normandy where we delve into the glamorous Normandy countryside exploring the seaside towns of Cabourg, Dives-sur-Mer and Deauville. (B)
Day 3 Normandy Landing Beaches
We travel along the Normandy Beaches and spend time perusing famous World War II museums and sites, including the Musée du Débarquement at Arromanches, the battery at Longues-sur-Mer and the famous American War Cemetery overlooking Omaha Beach. Our historic day concludes in medieval Bayeux. (B,D)
Day 4 Bayeux
Explore the hidden treasures of Bayeux at your leisure. In addition to the truly breathtaking tapestry and Cathédrale Notre-Dame, you may also enjoy wandering its atmospheric streets and squares in its old town. (B)
Day 5 Mont-St-Michel & St Malo
We arrive in Brittany and visit the 1000 year old Mont St-Michel. We then continue to the fortified town of St Malo before continuing to the medieval towns of St. Briac-sur-Mer and Dinan as we head to this evenings accommodation. (B,D)
Day 6 Carnac & Chinon
More charms of Brittany unfold as we travel to the Neolithic alignments Carnac. We travel through Locmariaquer, onto the Golf du Morbihan, with its beautiful landscape and islands and head into the historic port of Auray. We then arrive in the verdant Loire Valley. (B)
Day 7 Loire Valley
The pretty town of Chinon makes an excellent base for our explorations in the Loire Valley. Today we indulge into arguably the most impressive châteaux, Château de Villandry then the inspiration to the ‘Sleeping Beauty’ story, Château d’Usée. (B)
Day 8 Richelieu & Argenton-sur-Creuse
We drive to Richelieu, one of the first planned towns before travelling through the lakes in the Parc Natural Regional. Discover local Roman history at Argenton-sur-Creuse in its Argentomagus museum. (B,D)
Day 9 Chenonceau & Chartres
Another scrumptious day! Firstly, to the architecturally impressive Château de Chenonceau, then onto the divine cathedral and Old town of Chartres, before returning to Paris. Tour ends upon arrival in Paris. (B)
